The story was read by actor\u00a0<span style=\"color: #333333;\">Bhavini Ravel. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Please do watch and enjoy Bhavini\u2019s performance in the video below \u2013 she delivers the story with drama and suspenseful timing and does a great job of getting into the character of the narrator. It was a shame to have missed through being in stuck in the UK \u00a0&#8212; unfortunately a return plane ticket isn\u2019t part of the deal but it&#8217;s a great feeling nevertheless to know your work is being enjoyed half way round the world.<\/p>\n<p>The video lasts just under 10 minutes (1,200 words) it comes in a little shorter than the other videos posted from <em>Liars\u2019 League London <\/em>last year (<a title=\"Do You Dare Me To Cross The Line\" href=\"https:\/\/www.macnovel.org.uk\/?p=2388\" target=\"_blank\"><em>Do You Dare Me To Cross the Line?<\/em> <\/a>and <a title=\"Elevator Pitch\" href=\"https:\/\/www.macnovel.org.uk\/?p=2429\" target=\"_blank\"><em>Elevator Pitch<\/em>.<\/a>) The sound is a bit indistinct in places but the story&#8217;s still audible.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/21_Vb8Zv6v0?rel=0\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><em>The Good Knife<\/em> is my fourth story to be read by one of the <em>Liars\u2019 League<\/em> franchises (I had another\u00a0read in Leicester in September) and slightly different in tone \u2013 being a story of revenge and abandonment although it still has a little of the humour of the London stories (well, the audience laughs in the places I hoped they would, anyway).<\/p>\n<p>As far as I can tell, the text of <em>The Good Knife<\/em> isn\u2019t on the <em>Liars\u2019 League Hong Kong<\/em> website (the video is on their Facebook and YouTube pages) but should you want to read the text then watch this space over the next few days for some news about how you might do so.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>My short story, The Good Knife,\u00a0was performed on 23rd February\u00a0as part of Liars&#8217; League Hong Kong Hunter and Prey themed evening.
